    Golf MK2 / 1983-1992
    Engine start, gauge shows 11.5v. Rev eng past 2.5k, 13.5v. Rebuilt alt (yr ?) , new volt regulator yesterday. Something kicks in at 3000rpm(voltage relay ?). Really big hammer soon!

    I need to replace an inner CV boot or the short shaft on a 96 Automatic Jetta. I've done them many times on a standard transmission with no problem. Can't remove the short shaft because the joint is too big for the hole. Looks like I need to drop the transmission to make room. Any suggestions?
