My LLW Alternator that I replaced just had a semi-failure.
The Case screws that hold the body together had a strippage from the re-builder.
One of the Case screws backed out due to strippage and started to hit the Alternator fan.
A 4.5mm Nut wasn't replaced on the screw on the back, so I added 3...

So that left the Regulator as the issue as the Battery light worked fine to tell me it decided to depart the earth.
I removed the Negative, and...

Well if you have had a Trunk Button seal break, you can fix it a couple of ways to wait till you get your new seal, or forever. Or as on my Cabriolet.... I use it as a temp fix. I have also been known to use the Cabriolet mirror rubber gaiter in a pinch.

Why is it Still raining on my Feet?
If you install a new antenna on your car, be sure that you make a drip stop loop on the coax cable. Do not make it a direct line for water migration... If you don't have a grommet, you can cut a new one in half and work it in place then a little RTV.
So I was getting diesel fuel today and noticed it was pouring onto the ground. Turns out the bracket that the top of the passenger side shock is bolted to broke its welds and fell down onto the 1"5/8" hose pipe which connects the fill to the fuel tank and wore a hole in the top causing it to...
