Good day everyone, this is my first post. On September 15 2021, I bought my first 1973 Super Beetle. The engine starts and it runs. I'm starting this project with my 2 sons, we are pretty excited to get going. To start, I'm trying to identify the original color. I know the code should start...

Hey everyone! New to the forums here as I am new to the beetle world. The goal here is to establish a foundation so I can get some sort of idea of where to start with potentially saving this beetle. My grandparents bought this '73 Superbeetle off the lot brand new. They drove it from...

Hello all, I'm new to Beetles but not rust bashing and car restoration, slow time in my own workshop/shed. someone I know is selling this sorry old rusty bug. I would want to return her to factory spec, I'm not into custom or soup ups. Unlike the previous owner who was using it as a donor car...

Hi, I don't yet own a classic VW... I have two NewBeetles. But that's irrelevant. My question is, I want to buy a beetle to build into a trail buggy that remains street legal and sensible. So I plan to use fairly narrow but taller tires, disk brakes, upgraded shock absorbers, Xenon headlights +...

We just purchased a 66 Beetle that I believe has been converted from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt (everything is currently 12 volt). Under the hood was a wiring nightmare, most of the fuse block was unhooked and the wire ends were just taped together. After replacing the fuse block and fixing...

I've recently bought a '67 Beetle but as I live in London don't have a garage to keep it in. With waxoyling and regular cleaning and waxing will rust still take hold eventually?... Or should it be okay as long as I'm vigilant?

Hello! I'm new here and new to VWs as well. I bought a bunch of pressure plates from a closed import car mechanic's shop. They're all F&S Schweinfurt and I've included some pics to one of them as an example. I did some research about the part numbers but some of what I read doesn't match up to...
