I am looking for my grandfathers 1975 Yellow Bug. I was sold when I was young and I would love to track this car down. I have an old registration tag and I found the VIN #1152032279. I am having a hard time tracking this down and I would love to have this car back in the family! Can anyone help me?

This was me in my 72 Super Beetle in the early 80s as an undergrad student in Philadelphia. I lived in an area called Manayunk aka "Alps of Philadelphia" and this car never had a problem going uphill in the snow. The fellow I bought it from was a VW mechanic who was in the Hitler Youth during WWII.

Thanks for the add to the group. Just got this 71 Beetle, really lucky as the back seat was full of a lot of new parts. Have already started replacing many items to include a new key ignition lock and wiring harness, a new signal switch, stock muffler, and all upper engine gaskets. Am sure...

I have a 2007 New Beetle Convertible. I removed the center console and now I am reinstalling it. When I removed it the wiring came unplugged from the back of the convertible top switch. VW didn't leave any slack in the wire so it doesn't reach the back of the switch until the console is nearly...

Hello all, I'm new to Beetles but not rust bashing and car restoration, slow time in my own workshop/shed. someone I know is selling this sorry old rusty bug. I ordered a PCV valve, supposedly for the 2.0L engine (for a 2004 New Beetle). It looks like a 3" diameter black plastic disc, about 1/2" thick, with two hose ports sticking out of it. I've scoured the engine and the web looking for any indication of where this thing lives but can't figure it...

We recently had an early cold snap with a very wet snow and the car was parked outside. The next day, when my wife went out to go to work, the windows would not automatically lower to get into the car. Finally, she was able to get in, but then the window stayed down the 1/4" instead of going...

Hi, I don't yet own a classic VW... I have two NewBeetles. But that's irrelevant. My question is, I want to buy a beetle to build into a trail buggy that remains street legal and sensible. So I plan to use fairly narrow but taller tires, disk brakes, upgraded shock absorbers, Xenon headlights +...

Looking for advice selling a '64 beetle with 4k on the clock, nearly untouched! Hi everyone, I have inherited a Beetle which I believe is 1964, it belonged to my great uncle, then my uncle and now me. Apart from the touch up on the front it is completely untouched and original and has only...

I have an 02 beetle that is losing coolant. No drops on the ground, can't find any wet spot and not overheating. I did try to do a pressure test and found that as soon as I build any pressure at all it leaks out the bypass on the overflow ball. I can't get it to 2 pounds before it leaks down...
