2003 1.6 petrol beetle convertible, boot /trunk won't open,

I have a 2003 1.6 petrol convertible, the boot stopped opening-the key fob button stopped working but when I press it the lights flash!also the door button does not work to open boot/trunk. Does anyone know a fix for this please? Also the roof won't go down, flashing display light. Very grateful for any help with this, best regards hamish
