2006 passat Clutch Push rod snapped
I am asking for any of your experiences of similar issues and fixes please. The story so far, my 2006 2.0 tdi Passat had a full clutch kit including flywheel slave and fluid change, all was fine until she became redundant for a few weeks and when used again the clutch pedal became very stiff and the master cylinder push rod snapped, I replaced it with a used unit but the same thing happened, I have removed the gearbox and clutch but nothing obvious looks to be out of place, I have blown through the lines and they are clear, any solutions would be very helpful, including an explanation of what the plastic round thing is in the pressure line which sits against the bulk head/N/S inner wing, thank you for looking at my question.
