2013 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL - Has HID light bulbs
Error message: Check front low right beam

Dealer quoated $218 for each bulb and $350 for labor charges. Total almost $800 for two low beam headlight bulbs (not assembly).

Is this normal for Tiguan SEL Model?
Any place to buy cheaper? Is it easy to install? or specialty/dealer only

Do yourself a favor. Move up to LEDs, but make sure you get the good stuff. Don't be one of the moes that runs aircraft landing lights for low beams and burns out opposing traffics retinas. Find someone who knows their stuff and make the investment. You'll nevergo back to HIDs.

What LED did you choose for your replacement? I can find the right one without an electric cord. The stock bulbs don't have an cord on them.
Your car uses a D3S HID bulb, if you look THE RETROFIT SOURCE they have bulbs from $75 to $260. You can check other sites like amazon. Some cars like the 2006 Cadillac CTS you need to remove the whole front bumper to replace any light bulb in the headlights. You can search on youtube on how to replace a headlight bulb on your car.

Most of the HID to LED conversions you need to remove the HID ballast and rewire the bulbs. Not a plug-n-play situations but it's doable....
