I have a 2017 Passat with sticky trunk seals. When you release the trunk (Key fob or release switch on door) the lock releases but the trunk lid doesn't open. You go and pull it by hand and you hear the ruber seal releasing. Is there something (Armor All WD40} that can be used to lubricate the seal ?

2015 Jetta, same thing....

I tried to even put some silicone along the weatherstrip, lasts for a little bit...

I have been meaning to get some silicone grease so it lasts longer, just
never got around to it.

I have an 2017 Passat 1.8w/technology package and I haven't experienced this at all. I swipe my foot across the bottom of the car and the trunk opens all the way up. No sticking.....

Well, ours do. Does yours sit outside all the time? No garage?

I had a 2013 jetta "S" and it didn't do it on that for whatever reason,
but both my '13TDI (former) and this 2015 do. My even has a spring
and a push strut, and it still won't pop open, it sticks to the weather
strip...
