I purchased a new 2018 GTI recently to replace my 2015 GTI. The overhead light switches that control the interior lights are not backlit on my 2018. I am sure they were backlit on my 2015. I took it too the dealer and they told me that my 2018 overhead switches are not supposed to be backlit now.

Can someone who owns a 2018 GTI tell me if their switches that control the interior lights are backlit at night? My switch that controls the sunroof is, but the 4 switches that control the interior lights are not.

Thank you

Well... now I have one question less. I was about to create a similar thread, but now I think I don't need it. Is there any way to install backlit, though? Not so long ago one of my friends told me about Vehicle LED Light Bars and even showed me their stuff installed in his car. I was impressed. And now I'm thinking about something similar in my car. Maybe there is some way to make it? I want it not only working, but also looking good. Because my 2018 GTI looks perfect. And I don't want to ruin it.

hey man, i hear you, but i wouldn't have any knowledge on how. my advice would be to ask your friend how they did it and see if you can go to the same place/do the same thing they did. btw, my overhead light switches aren't backlit either
