I have owned my golf for 25 years an drove it into my mums garage when I had my son 16 years ago and it hasn't moved since. The time has come when I want it up and running again, but i'm not sure where to start. I live in Berkshire, but the car is Near Uxbridge. Can anyone give me any advice or recomendations?

I had a similar problem - best solution is to invest in a new battery - fit it and turn the engine over without starting it fully

After a number of times you should then be able to start it fully .its unlikely the engine has seized but take it gently and replenish the fuel tank with fresh fuel
