Auto dimming mirror upgrade

Hi. New to the forum. Just picked up a 2014 TDI sportwagen and wanted to change rearview mirror to an Auto dimming one. Had seen one on eBay from 2012 pasat for 60 dollars. How easy is the swap and wht people use to hide the wires coming down from the overhead console. Thanks
