my 2.0 tdi 2015 golf GT has been stood for 15 month
I charged it up about half a dozen times over that period, its back on the Road now but battery not holding charge, it’s a fancy VARTA AGM stop start battery
tonight I put in in charge with a CTEK MXS5 charger
this has a AGM recondition setting
so in a day or two I should know if it has made it good again
anybody had experience of these chargers ?
when I come to change battery do I need to worry about losing radio codes ?, can’t seee mention of them in handbook

If you say that you just changed the battery, this means that the problem can be in the cables of your car. There is nothing else that can create problems with the electric system if it is not the battery. You can try to change them by yourself. You can find how to do it correctly on batterytools.net. The most important is to buy cables that are made for your car and work with your battery because sometimes the cables can burn if the battery is too strong for them. If you will manage to do it by yourself, you will save a lot of money.
