Carb Recomendation

Hi, I am new to the group. I am supposed to trade for a 72 Super Beetle tomorrow. It has a 1835cc engine but has the stock 1600 carb on it. Is this OK? It has dual port heads and I have thought about putting dual carbs on it. I haven't had a VW Bug since the early 1970s so am out of the loop. What are your recommendations? Thanks
