Hello everyone. I own a 1973 Beetle. VIN says 1973 as well as title. What I'm confused about is that it has a flat windshield and the spare tire does not lay flat. It stands up in the front of the trunk. I guess my question is, did the make standard and supers at the same time in 1973? I appreciate any info!

You definitely have a standard. Jbugs list parts for standard bugs through 1977. My México bug is also standard and made in 1983. Typically standards are more desired than supers by vw aficionados.
