EOS roof problem

Hi all,
I recently started having some issue with my 2008 VW EOS - the roof won't go down. When I press the switch the sunroof starts moving, the windows go down and then I get the "system fault" error. If i press it again the sunroof moves all the way back and then I see that error again. Nothing else happens. At this point if I try closing the roof only the windows come up, the sunroof won't move; I have to press the sunroof button for it to close.
I connected an ODBII to the car but it found not error codes
The trunk lid does not go up when I operate the roof, but there does not seem to be any problem with the trunk. It works fine otherwise.
I only noticed this a few days ago but it was working fine about a month ago when I last put the roof down.

Any suggestions or ideas on what it could be?

Thanks,
Andrei

have you tried the emergency roof closing procedure pall
interested in getting a tdi eos but more than a little concerned re top and sunroof mechanisms! - can you always close these items manually if they refuse to operate correctly - how is this achieved?

My roof will only go half way when trying Open. I've had problems, electrical problems, because of a bad module. Check all fuses first. I was told that the seals of an '07 and '08 Eos were designing incorrectly allowing water to drain into the car, not out of the car. Modules are installed throughout the car under the carpeting, and other areas. They get wet, causing corrosion, and then fail. Once failed, they will drain your battery. OBD tools will not detect issues with which module is bad. Modules communicate with each other, allowing proper functioning of vehicle. Therefore, your top will not complete its function, because of a communication problem electrically. Again, Check your fuses to see if any are blown first.
I’m having the same problem.
