Glow Plug and EGR
Hi all,
Driving a 2011 Passat Variant B7 2.0 TDI.
A few weeks back while driving the glow plug light came on and the car went into limp mode. A scan said it was an EGR fault and was quoted €650 to replace it. I don't have that kind of money at the minute and also want to get the AC fixed while will cost around the same. A bit of googling and plenty of people had luck with an EGR cleaner. I've watched videos of other cars and have no problem taking it on only my problem is I don't got know where it is on my B7. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Also, if it doesn't work, I've heard of blanking plates and not needing an EGR valve for a Diesel. Would that solve my problem?
