Hi all,
My 2009 golf lost power to instrument clocks but power to all else. Started on key turn then cut straight out. Then few days later car is dead on key turn. Had mechanic look at the car which he thought was instrument issue. Sent them off for text (which they found a fault) and repaired. Plug clocks in but still same no power and crackling sound from clocks. Sent the instrument back to company who re-tested instrument and found no fault. Once back I plugged the instrument clocks back in and all lit up but again nothing on the key. Driver information showing "clutch" even when pressed down. I then had my mechanic out again Sunday and only a few lights are working on the clocks again. He tried to run a scan on the car but showing instrument panel loss communication and faults on other things associated with the instrument. Battery is good, relays under steering wheel good(643 I believe). Just no idea now. Anyone had this issue before?
