Hello all, Been a long time since I've been here. One of my last thread's was on a 1.6L N/A rebuild, many, many years later, I'm finally around to rebuilding my golf engine and was going to go ahead and rebuild the injector pump. But my question is, with 380K on the car (i'm assuming the pump as just as many miles as well) should I go ahead and rebuild it or just leave it alone? and if so, is it easy enough to rebuild at home or should a pro do it?

With the newer diesel fuel containing less sulfur your O rings will deteriorate in a short time. You need to replace them with new vitron O rings. I had mine sent off for a total rebuild with the newer O rings and have not had any trouble or leakage and that was 13 years ago.
