I just purchased a 2017 gti se and it came with a EQT tune I'm not sure which stage but I have no way of detuning it to remove the check engine light to get it passed for emissions. The originally computer that tuned it is out of the picture and the people who I bought it from said when they bought the salvaged title it already had the tune on it. It was wrecked and they rebuilt it. How can I get a new factory tune while some else technically has the brains of my vehicle? I brought it to Volkswagen and they said they can't even set it to stock. If they can't who could? This is where I feel like there's now way of detuning it but there's got to be a way.
