New jetta owner

Just wanted to introduce myself and my jetta. I'm completely new to the VW platform so I will most likely lurk on the forums and soak in as much info as possible for a while. It's a 2008 2.5L with 139k miles. I bought it from a family member who has owned it from New so I know the history of the car very well. I do have a question about preventative maintenance. Any suggestions on what I need to do to it at this mileage? Also any suggestions on where everyone goes for online parts, any particular manufacturers that people like to use for suspension or cosmetic parts would be appreciated. Also any Facebook groups I should join?

Hi. It all depends on what you want from your VW. I have found the best options and price on eBay. I also have an MKV/MK5 Jetta with the 2.5l. First thing I recommend is saving it in "your garage" on Amazon. Then, comparing prices with eBay.
eBay has the ONLY, $35> underdrive pulley(5PK875 smaller belt required), $90 strut bar and Becker performance coils for $200+/-.

What is your goal? I'll be glad to share the research I've obtained and help avoiding mistakes I've made.
