Newbie looking for direction on ribbon cable repair!

Doing the mkv headliner 2008 rabbit. Tore one of the ribbon cables going to the passenger side visor light. Any suggestions on repair? I see others have soldered or rewired but no diy on how to make the repair! Anybody want to chime in?!
