No clutch response and vibration in pedal

So my clutch in my 2005 vw passat 1.8 t 4motion quit working the other day out of the blue while i was driving. Ive checked the hydraulic system and things seem to be fine. Btw whats the best way to bleed that system?

Also, when it went out the pedal went super soft and i noticed a slight vibration that could be felt through the pedal when pressed. Is this an indication of a bad clutch fork or throw out bearing?
