I've seen numerous posts asking where to get this part or that part, most of them can be found on the pages below. I'll start with the stores I've had experiences with and then compile a list of the other companies.

These are the online retailers I've dealt with and highly recommend.

www.ecstuning.com - they pretty much carry everything, OEM, OEM euro spec, and aftermarket. Brakes, Engine performance, lights, maintenance parts, suspension, interior and exterior parts.

www.oemplus.com - Carry only oem parts, both US and Euro spec, lights, exterior parts (jetta and gti bumpers/grills), and interior.

www.c2motorsports.net - The one and only turbo kit for the Rabbit.

www.mjmautohaus.com - exhaust, intakes, brakes, and a couple of other items. Free shipping on most items and the best price I've found on exhausts.

www.summitracing.com - Basically carry every tool you could possibly want for automotive repairs and maintenance, I purchased numerous tools and more recently my gauges and wideband from them.

www.namotorsports.net - worst customer service I've ever dealt with, did not respond until I complained in a review of their website.

http://www.bshspeedshop.com/store/home.php brakes/suspension/engine and some GTI body parts that will work on the Rabbit.

http://www.germanfilters.com good source for hard to find air/oil filters (cabin filter as well)

http://store.blackforestindustries.com/mkv.html brakes/engine/suspension/interior and exterior I was actually planning on buying parts from them until I was checking out and saw their horible shipping rates.

http://www.performance-cafe.com/ painted eyelids/brakes/exterior/exhaust/suspension

www.ross-tech.com - sells vagcom and bentley manuals

http://www.parts4euro.com/DCShop/index.php - carries a bit of everything and their new webpage is easier to navigate.
http://wrdusa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=WRD some cool parts for older VW's but they have new stuff as well

www.tmtuning.com - Based in Germany - so you pay for overseas shipping, but they do off some hard to find body kits, bumpers etc. They also paint.

http://www.neodesign.info/neo/en/home/ --- bodykits like most haven't seen for the rabbit and gti, out of south afica so shipping kinda' high. Reccomend the Shadow front bumper as alternative to the Thunder Bunny high price tag.

One of my favorite places for any car I work on is http://www.rockauto.com , if nothing else I at least browse before I go anywhere else due to selection, price, and convenience (simple Java based tree-view interface like you use when browsing file folders, very intelligible).

My first experience was brake rotors for my 2002 Impala in 2004. Local store wanted $78 each for OEM replacements, Rockauto had them for $24 each, I opted for the upgraded $40 ones which would have cost me $150 each at my local store (same brand, same package, same part). Including shipping, both front rotors cost less than one would at my local store and took about 7 days to arrive.

They source from various warehouses, mostly OEM replacement parts but also carry High Performance parts. I have bought tools and parts for all my cars (2002 Impala, 1992 Miata, 2008 Rabbit) and cars I have worked on for friends -- got a nice set of triple-square bits (sizes 4-18 I think) for ~$34 shipped.

Reliable and simple interface, and quick online RMA system should that be necessary.
