With diesel fuel foaming a bit and the tank filler full of foam it can take up to 15 minutes to top it off for a fuel mileage check.

Any way to get the foam to go down faster?

Any way to prevent much of the foam so it will fill to the brim easier?

I only top it off like this when I am checking mileage or hit a place where diesel is way cheaper. Then I make sure I am driving at least 30 miles after the full fill so I don't have the cool fuel warm up and overflow the filler cap when I park it.

Any suggestions are welcome. Topping off takes forever and the 1-10 1/100's of a gallon and constant click on and off is maddening.

Its air that is causing the foam, are you sure that your tanks and hose vents are good? You can try to reduce the flow as you dispense it, that is don't run it at full speed, as if you are at a truck stop they want to pump 100 gallons so they have a higher pressure on the hose. Run it one or 2 clicks, that should reduce the foaming.
