I have a 2007 Eos - 18600 miles and always garaged. The vinyl upholstery on both door panels is coming loose where the vinyl rolls over into the window wells. The dealer says the only fix is to replace the entire door panel (about $900)! Has anyone had a similar problem and, if so, how did you fix it. If you replaced the door panels, how long have the new ones lasted?
Appreciate any help.

Yeah, DEALER cost, $900.00, eBay? MUCH cheaper!

IF they're the same type of door panels as used on the Jetta,
you can search for both Jetta and EOS.

Actual retail: http://www.keffervwparts.com/a/Volkswagen_2009_EosAT/_51505_5965116/DOOR-INTERIOR-TRIM/9290570.html
$390 to 795, depending on the trim options on the door. This is JUST the panel,
without anything else on it, as you can see from the parts list and graphic.

Sometimes, you can get them in eBay with all the stuff on it, except the buttons.

As far as how long the material lasts? Well, 2009 to 2017, that's 18 years...
Without seeing a picture, can't even suggest a repair -vs- buying a replacement.
