Vw jetta central locking problems

Hi, I have a 2004 Jetta and since I have bought it only the drivers door unlocks on the key fob. I have to manually unlock the other doors and then press the plunger down inside to lock them again. A couple of things I have noticed. Firstly the door open light on the passenger side does not so come on with the door open. And secondly the blinkers do not flash when I lock the car on the key, only flash when I open it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
