Hi,

I'm new to this forum.

I have a 1990 Jetta that needs a downpipe. This is the pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter.

It's quite expensive. At Germanautoparts.com they sell two models of this pipe. One costs $275; the other costs $196.20 (http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volkswagen/Jetta/Exhaust/78/3).

Does anyone know of a way to get this pipe more cheaply? Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

There are many types of pipes such as single down, or dual down.

Vwheritage has the dual down for 97 euros, but they are out of stock.

You have to be a tad more explicit, in your description. TT tuning has them too, but they are pricey there too.
Rockauto, and even napa may be of assistance to you too.

single

Then automatic or manual, and there are 3 types of downs that I have seen
Single (toilet bowel)
Single (flat 4 bolts)
Dual (six bolts)

Each requires a different manifold.
