Until two days ago, I was driving a 2010 Tiguan. I had heard about the R-Line and seen promo photos online and thought 'meh'.
While visiting my Canadian dealership, I saw a silver 2013 R-Line in the lot. It was a very different silhouette and trim from what I had seen online. I sat inside it and was completely taken by the subtleties of the trim difference.
When the sales lady told me that the R-Line was listed for less than what I paid for my 2010, I caved in. She also threw in a cache of accessories and good value for my trade in.
Suffice it to say, I am now driving a Canadian 2013 R-Line Tiguan. I am very pleased with this serendipitous purchase. And I will definitely testify that the vehicle is very different from what the online photos would suggest.
p.s. Having paddle shifters, a GTI steering wheel, 19" mallory wheels, and a firmer suspension is a real driving treat!
