Did you buy them new? If so I would call the company and explain that they need to send a replacement.

 

Long story short. I bought them new, and was given the runaround from DHL. One year later, they're sitting in my garage and not on my car. So sad.

 

From the sound of that link you posted you dont need to disassemble the light, just trim the broken part off and screw the new one on.

Nitro would probably be the best person to ask. He's probably done it before.
