Pioneer FH-P8000BT work with aux line?

Was wondering if anyone could help me out with this:

I have '08 2dr so I have the Aux input in my armrest and was looking at the Pioneer FH-P8000BT headunit. Is the rear aux on this thing the same that would be on my OEM headunit? I guess what I mean is I was wondering if this is just something I would unplug from my stereo unit and plug into the aux port on the back of this pioneer. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the F700BT, but I think the back is similar.

Mine comes with an AUX-in spot on the front of the head unit, but I bought the iPod adapter cable that runs from the back of the head unit into my glove compartment. I just plug my iPod into that cable and...voila! all my music and artists and stuff is available to scroll through on the Pioneer touchscreen. If you're using an iPod for music, I'd just buy the iPod Interface Cable with the head unit.

The FH-P8000BT doesn't have an AUX-in port on the face, so I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure you'll lose the functionality of the armrest AUX port.
