just bought a 2008 black 2dr auto rabbit last week and cant find an answer to what each function on the center instrument cluster represents. The one on my car is not the same as the one in the manual. i know what a few are like the miles until empty, speedometer warning, and have a guess at the others, but if someone could break it down for me, it would be great. maybe some others are thinking the same thing.
i think one is a time meter and another is average mph avg mpg and a trip meter, but it seems as they dont keep track all the time. maybe only when they are displayed they are keeping track. and they are a 1 and a 2 for each.

thanks for any help
Mike

When you are on say, avg mpg, you will see a 1 or a 2. This, as explained by my salesman when I took delivery was trip 1 and trip 2. Trip 1 works as you are driving and teh values reset if the car sits for a couple hours. Trip 2 is not reset unless you reset it.

The values are if I am remembering them correctly...

Trip 1 (in no particular order)

Avg Speed
Avg MPG
Instant MPG
Time driven
Miles driven
Speed Warning
Miles to empty

Trip 2 (In no particular order)

Avg MPG
Avg Speed
Time Driven
Miles Driven
.....

There might be some more, I forget. I think the avg mpg in trip 2 is reset when reseting the tripometer, not sure about this though.

That is correct, I thought that was common knowledge though so I didn't mention it...
