Pictures would be helpful. Raceland has green springs and so does Tein...But, it could just be a cheap set off ebay. Does it have any company names on it?

 

Did you provide the springs to the installer or did you buy them from them and they installed them? From a quick search the green springs seem to be for Honda/Acura cars.

 

no companies name on it from what i am able to see ... just green coil. from what i searched in the internet it seems that they do offer a green spring but for hondas and what not .... idk if that makes a huge difference or not. And i ordered them through the shop/ installer , that was probably a mistake.

Well it's no wonder you're getting a slamming sensation when hitting bumps those springs look like they're totally compressed so when you hit a pothole or whatever that removes weight from that wheel the spring is uncompressing. They installed the wrong springs for the car, and yes, different cars require different springs since each manufacturer has different suspension geometry, so yes it matters. They need to remove those springs and install the correct ones and if they're a good business, not charge you for it.

 

safe to say there fake ? or wrong springs for the car ? i dont wanna accuse them of anything if im not sure

 

Tell them those are the wrong springs. They are fully compressed when just sitting there.

They're not fake, they just look like they're the wrong ones for your car! The springs should not be completely compressed as shown in the picture you posted. If they're a reputable business they should be able to show you documentation for the springs and they should make things right.

 

thanks for everything guys , im gonna give a call to neuspeed also tommorow to confirm that these are the wrong springs in my car .. ill give you all an update

 

This is what you want in your spring:

Lots of compression available for bumps. Obviously there is no weight on the car in this picture but it will not compress that much more under the weight of the car. And springs are made differently by different companies but your shouldn't see anything much different from this. Springs are designed to support the weight of the car and shocks help keep things stable and prevent the car from bouncing too much. So you either have the wrong springs or struts. Or maybe both.

Edit:
Looking at your photo again it looks like stock struts? So yea those springs are totally wrong. You may want too look into some shocks designed for the lower ride height as well, your putting a lot of extra strain on them.

 

Ok finally installed the correct springs in ... and while i was at it i decided to order the koni yellows since i was going to get a free install out of it ... the end result is amazing , the car rides perfectly . Dont know what makes the biggest difference the shocks or the proper springs but im happy i got both ... thanks for all the help

the shop said that the warehouse got the springs for the mkIV on accident instead of the MKV .... if you ask me i say BS because i saw a couple of DNA spring boxes laying around in their shop ( ebay springs) and my guess is they put those on and figured i wouldnt notice/ complain .. but thats again for the input , my rabbit is sweet ... now i just gotta make it a little faster
